We purchased our home in Edinburg VA and had the privilege of being the first closing under the North Real Estate brand. Heather North worked with us over the course of 3 years until we found a home in a rural area with some acreage where we could retire. Our search took us up and down the I-81 corridor where we viewed numerous homes and walked countless acres of property until we eventually found our current residence in the Shenandoah Valley. Heather was patient with us and persevered through the numerous walks over country properties, despite being out of her normal area of operations, not to mention a bit out of her comfort zone. Once we decided on a property, the business dealings were pretty straight forward and we encountered few, if any, obstacles. What sets North Real Estate apart from other agencies and Heather North apart from other agents, though, is service after the sale. We discovered an issue after closing with the septic drain field straddling the property line with the adjoining property. A call to Heather got us on the right track with the title insurance company and we were able resolve the issue in short order. Heather is never too busy to take a call and you can count on her to get back to you with an answer when she says she will. Kristian Smith was just joining the North Real Estate team, in more ways than one, as we were going to closing so he was not a part of our sale per se. We have come to know Kristian over the past several years, though, and there is no doubt that his boundless positive energy and "can-do" attitude have been an integral part of the remarkable success of North Real Estate. We've now been at this residence over six years and have no immediate intentions of moving. If that changes, though, North Real Estate will be first in line to sell the property. Kristian and Heather are the power couple for brokers in the Haymarket area. They are the epitome of everything you could possibly want in a broker, they are well-connected, knowledgeable and professional. ( In fact we were able to get offers the day the house went on the market.) There like ability is what you want in someone representing your home to others. There is an ease about the way in which they conduct themselves even in the most of all the stress that comes with negotiating such an important transaction. They come across as a couple that truly loves what they do and enjoys all their is to know about the area. They gave us many helpful suggestions on how to update the property. We followed all of these suggestions and the property looked amazing. They did a very through market analysis to help determine the selling price. They required a higher percentage point due to the marketing contractor they hired. A professional photographer spent hours taking photographs and they even created a music video for the house. All of this lead to the house selling for 25% above asking price and only 3 days on the market. I can’t recommend them enough to anyone buying or selling a house. They truly love helping people buying and selling their homes and it shows in everything that they do.
